Re: Propping FS17 Tohatsu 50

I built the same boat and powered it with the same motor. I know I am a little late in this converstation, but I ended up using a PowerTech REB3 model prop which gives me good overall performance. I can't remember if I got a 12 or 13 pitch though. I will look for you if you want though. My top speed...

Re: SECOND ANNUAL TEXAS COAST BUILDERS MEET

One of my coworker grew up in the Rockport/Port Aransas area and still has family there. She queried her family and this is what they recommend. It looks like they think the best location is Fulton area. Long writeup, but informative. Here are my suggestions: Fulton Harbor and the nearby hotels. Ful...

Well guys, I am not making it. The people I was bringing have all backed out due to the weather and my boat just went in the shop for some motor work. Sorry all.

Re: TEXAS COAST BUILDERS MEET JULY 29, 30, 31ST

I will bring a 6 foot folding table and at least four folding chairs. I also doubt the fresh fish line item will be an issue with as many boats as we will have on the water. No promises can be made, but any fish I catch on Thursday, Friday or Saturday can go towards the fish fry. Maybe some of us sh...

Re: TEXAS COAST BUILDERS MEET JULY 29, 30, 31ST

Is there fuel on the water or do I need to buy some cans before next weekend? The Quick Stop on the way into POC has fuel at a decent price and lots of space to manuver trailers. I have not tried to fuel at any of the docks. I don't recall any fuel at Clark's. MD  There is fuel on the water a...

SIGNUP SHEET FOR BOATS AND FOR FOLKS NEEDING A RIDE. It seems that we should do a signup sheet for people that are bringing boats and for folks that are needing a ride. Charles and I have exchanged emails and agree that it would be a pretty sorry weekend if someone is stuck at the dock. So in the i...

Maybe we should figure out the number of people we have for each meal and then plan accordingly. Posting a menu would be nice as it would allow us to ensure all of the needed cooking equipment, food, and beverages are available and accounted. Day 1 Breakfast - none provided as most are arriving Lunc...

Re: FS17 build in central Texas

Can you try to get some pics of the boat running, would love to see what it looks like up on plane (or videos if you feel like spoiling us :D ) Here are a couple pics of the boat on plane. They are a ways off though which is why I did not post them. I will try to get some closer ones. https://lh3.g...

Re: FS17 build in central Texas

Okay Wade I see what happened here. Diameter is usually written 1st then pitch in prop terminology. So you have tried a 11.1 x 13 and a 11.4 x 12 pitch prop so far. I gotcha now. So yes, you picked up your rpms with the smaller pitched prop by having less pitch not diameter. The Apollo or similar w...
