Re: GV11 on the water
Mine flies with a 15hp, can't imagine a 25. Nice job. Did you install a fin on the outboard? It will run more bow down, getting the VEE cutting the water and be much smoother riding. Steven, you ought to try it with 40hp. It is a thrill a minute for sure. :D grundasaurus, definitely you should add ...

Re: GV11 with sponsons (pics)
Paul, Thanks for your interest. I am still around though I haven't posted in quite awhile. The sponsons were built as miniature stitch and glue hulls and then attached to the hull. There are several construction pics in one of my builders galleries: Sponson Construction 2004. The only problem I had ...

Joel, where did you get that SS rail? Is there an on-line source?

OB17 dual console dimensions
Looking at plan page B223/9 (July '02) for the Dual Console construction, I do not see a way to dimension the top of the side panel. The top piece is to be 9 1/2 inches wide, but because the dashboard is at an unspecified angle (aft top edge) and the forward edge is also at an unspecified angle, the...

Biaxial 45/45 vs 0/90
I understand the physical difference between these two types of fabric but what is the functional difference when used on a boat hull? Why have two different construction types?

Good looking boat! I especially like the treatment of the small deck around the gunwales.

Re: Runabout 14, April 2013, Geir
Very nice boat, Geir. I love the design and you have done a beautiful job with it. I think your mods are the right way to go as I thought the original cockpit plan looked a bit tight. She is light, fast, and good looking, perfect IMHO.

Re: advice on which boat to build
http://gallery.bateau2.com/displayimage.php?pid=11827 Here is a link to a picture (in my gallery) that shows the way I took a boat, boat trailer and travel trailer at the same time. The boat is the GV11 lengthened to 12 ft. The GV11 is a very roomy boat for it's size and it's fast with moderate pow...

Fire Retardant Resin Issues
One of Uniflite's claim to fame was the use of a fire retardant resin (Hetron). Assuming your Pup was built with this material, have you had any problems bonding modern epoxy to that half century old unique resin?
