Re: CV16 Caravelle - KS8 - more pictures added
Thanks Leon. Good to hear you still take a peek now and then. I reckon it will take me years to catch up on the sea miles on your CV16, if I ever do catch up. Got any more pictures, adventures to share from down under? (I forget... is that you or Karel that is down under for awhile?) :) No, ...

Re: CV16 Caravelle - KS8 - more pictures added
A brief intermission. Someone else at the first sail of Measure of Faith just showed me some pictures they had taken. I like this one because it shows my heavily built, and heavy, CV16, with 3 adults and a tweener, and a heavy 4 stroke 4 HP, with the transom barely in the water and some waterline s...

You don't want to cross the Atlantic in a Caravelle. I know I'm not...
If you like transatlantic races: there are many. OSTAR, ARC, Minitransat or Transat 6.50 (yes, 6.5 meter-long/short yachts), the Artemis transat, just to name a couple...

Re: Rest in Peace Phil Bolger
I just found out that Phil Bolger has died. I started reading about him because of the Birdwatcher II article in WoodenBoat.
What an extraordinary and courageous man!

Re: little clip about "BUUT" CV16 Caravelle
Yep, It was me... :P I took my family to work and live Down Under for a little over a year... but now we're back in the low lands! Your Measure of Faith has leaped off the scale a while ago, you know. After finishing the tabernacle, you'll be allowed one sail (to go under your low bridge) and then s...

Hello Karel,
Great video!
I have also been to the Lac du St. Croix! But that was many years ago...
I still owe you the Caravelle Cup! It's sitting in my attic, but as you won the race on the Veerse Meer you are the rightful owner.
Maybe we should arrange for another boat meeting?!

Re: SO-DU-IT started
Hello Bhatla,
Hope your move went smoothly! I relocated back to Europe earlier this year from Sydney.
I wouldn't recommend using the SoDuIt! hull for a skin-on-frame daysailor, though. I think it would be better to use an existing design for that. Maybe a traditional Irish currach?!

Mea culpa! I'm one of those bums that posted and was never heard of after launch (no, my Caravelle CV16 did not sink... ;). It's just that with work, moving, family and all that, there was a shift in priorities... I've started some work on a kayak (which is still waiting to be finished) and I've fel...
