Re: CS25 plans and performance
Usually plywood composites are specified within a range of reasonable performance, so 9mm ply versus 10mm ply is 10% or typically within safety margins of most designs. But, 6mm versus 10mm does not work. So, I would say operating within 10% is fine. The designer has passed away and so getting some ...

Re: LB26
My boat is wrapped up for snow season. I need to go up today and disconnect the house and the batteries and charge two of them. Then I move the wifi into a cooler and basically shut the boat off. I leave the cerbo connected so I can monitor the batteries. It needs bottom paint and a long list of oth...

Re: knottyBuoyz III The TW28 Project
Paint is the right move. The paint will also modify the CTE (white) and they will move less. Use epoxy primer on them, strike them white with enamel or 2 pak. 2 pak contains some nasty stuff, so avoid in indoors like death. It doesn’t need to be 2 pak either. You could epoxy prime and sand and spray...

Re: LB26
Thanks for all those goodies, Les.
The boat sounds incredible. Gives me goosebumps hearing it run at cruise. Not too loud either.
Are you getting good enough fuel economy to cross to mainland Greece?
Looks like 160km?

Re: VG23 New Build
I have 3 in sole open to sky lockers.
The biggest issue is the drains get plugged with leaves and crud.
Add drains on all 4 corners. I used a 3/4” npt to 3/4” barb nylon.. then I think 3/4” id tubing to thru hulls

Re: VG23 New Build
I am just going to share the lockers with the access on top suck. Ask me how I know. I get the thinking because the hull angle, but I’d make a half door in the front with say a 6” high sill. Nice spot for duffel bag. Moving cushions to get the things in the locker is more than a minor nuisance. The ...

Good luck Mick.
You know I’m supporting the Jabsco 110%. Noone will ever freak out using your head, even if they have to duck a bit.

Re: knottyBuoyz III The TW28 Project
You’ve been working pretty long time on the boat. Paint it and never look at it for 10 years. I’d try to spray it. I painted 4 similar parts on my boat by hand with 2 part and I’ve got hours into it. Otherwise you could try just an oil and hit it annually. Faster, but messy and maintenance. Skip the...
