Thank you, I'll leave it be for now. I can always cut it later if I need to(I'll know for sure after the shakedown cruise).

FL14 shaft length?

I'm finally finishing up on my FL14 and I hung the motor on her to see how everything looks. The anti-cavitation plate is level with the bottom edge of the transom. I know that's what you want for planing hulls, but with the rocker on the FL series should it be lower? It's easy enough to cut a notch...

Sorry for not having any updates, life has a way of upsetting even the best laid plans. I just got back to working on this boat this week. Since my last post, I've gotten the outside almost ready for primer, glued in the cleats for the seats, and have the rest of the wood all cut out. Hopefully I'll...

e-poxy pumps for marinepoxy?

I need to buy more epoxy and have the e-poxy with the pumps already. Since it was replaced with marinepoxy, do I need to buy new pumps or can I still use the old ones? If they're not compatible, is there a cheap way to clean out the old pumps?

I did things a bit different than I should have, but it worked for me. What I did when measuring the frames out was to start from the edge of the plywood as the line under BL. First I measured from the bottom edge and drew a line for BL. Then I measured from that line to the seat top and drew anothe...

Thanks Mike, I will make the seat about a foot wide and just put the brackets 10" off the edge. The engine I have for this isn't running yet, so oars will be an important piece of my safety gear. I did take pictures and made an album with notes explaining what you're looking at. http://gallery....

Today I was able to flip the boat(see, it's a boat now!) and fill in some holes and gaps. I also took some pictures and cleaned up the garage a bit. I figure if you don't count the time spent monkeying around cleaning and taking pictures and stuff, I spent about an hour on this. I tried three differ...

FL14 Forward Seat?

I was going to measure and cut the seat tops today while things were curing and I can't find anything mentioning the width of the forward seat. The closest thing I found was that the oarlock brackets are supposed to be 10" from the edge of the seats. It also shows the bracket plates centered on...

Here's an update. Throughout the week I spent about 6 hours(broken up an hour or so at a time) and was able to get all the inside seams filleted and taped. About halfway through, I ran out of the West System filleting blend I had left over and sifted some sawdust and mixed in fumed silica. I guess I...
