I did exactly that on the first two I tried....it worked, but left me with some odd shaped holes. I ended up using my dremel with a grinding wheel to take down the pointy ends of the screws and I'll just leave the shafts in place. They'll be hidden under the seats anyway, so it's really not a big de...

The heads of the screws are pretty messed up...even the bits designed to take out stripped head just stripped them even further. I went out & picked up the 3/4" hole saw...it worked great, but after doing two of them and standing back for a look, I didn't like what I saw....two 3/4" wi...

FL-11 Seat Brace Help!

I need some help/advice.... I used a couple of screws to help some of the seat braces take the bend they needed to. A few of them popped through the hull which didn't really bother me as I figured I would plug the holes with thickened epoxy after I removed the screws. Then came the problem! I can't ...

I originally said that I wasn't planning on using oak for my rubrails for a number of different reasons....what can I say, things change! I searched high & low for some fir to use with absolutely no luck, so I moved on to pine, no luck there either. I could have used pine, but in the end,...

I had pretty good luck over the weekend just eyeballing the measurements...the only problem I had was that I didn't have enough of it to do the whole job (ordered more yesterday).

Quick Fair Mixing?

Ok, so it's official....I'm an epoxy mixing maniac! But, What about Quick Fair? The label says to mix it (2:1) just like the epoxy, but this stuff doesn't pour out nice & easy into a measuring cup...in fact, it doesn't pour at all. Should I just use a plastic spoon for each tub & try to eyeb...

Hatches FL-11

Anyone know of a good place to pick up "Box Hatches? I'd like to install a small box hatch/cooler into one of the benches on the FL-11; I've considered just building a hatch into one of the bench tops & throwing my cooler down into it, but I figured I might as well check out prices on a box...
