You need to decide how you plan on cruising. The MT24 is great for a couple over a weekend or slightly longer that is on no rush. The DE23 is great for a couple over a weekend or slightly longer that is in a hurry or has a farther destination in mind and fuel expense doesn't matter. I like to think ...

Re: great loop

If that map is the route of the great loop then you are missing the best part of the trip, you will miss the Adirondaks and the Green mountains of Vermont, some of the prettiest scenery on God's earth. Continue up the Hudson to the Hudson River canal, up through Lake Champlain, into the Richeleau c...

I was under the impression the Tenn-Tomm and the Mississippi (If you took it)
can be quite fast in spring , early summer.

Have to dig up info again.
I would go up the ICW and down the Illinois,Tenn-Tom.

A note on Orange Peel. It's an effect of sprayed paint drying.
It happens. Custom painters for cars, motorcycles spend hours wet sanding the effect out before clear coat and between sessions.

Looks great btw!

The impeller can deform/dry out etc. after a year or two.
Best to change it every two years when using regular or change it when you get it out of storage.

For outboard questions I use another forum.

Hope that's OK to link to mods.

For the small amount needed, use the Marine ply.
I tried using Cheaper ply and the voids cause issues at the
buttblocks when pulling the sides in on my V12.

I threw the 1st one out and am waiting a bit to do it again with Marine Ply.

I use Epiphanes Varnish and Wood Finish Gloss on my 1964 Grew Cruisers Utility boat. When used over the West System epoxy or the S1 sealer it takes longer than normal to cure. 36 hours or so in 15 Degree C temp medium humidity. I don't thin on top of epoxy as no matter how much you thin it, it won't...

Wow you are easy going! I would have pulled the fuse to the radio and t...
