I slitted the bottom panels about every 1 1/4" but apparently not deep enough ( ~ 6 mm ) Sorry to hear that mate. Even when I kerfed every 15mm and 9.5mm deep there was still a lot of resistance. I had to screw the panel to the jig and tab inside to hold the shape. Once the tabs set the screws...

Hi BJL, Curving marine ply to conform to the bow of the TW28 is, in my humble option, impossible without slitting or kerfing. I first tried slitting but I wasn’t happy as it required a lot of fairing on the outside of the hull. As you can see from the picture it looked a bit like an echidna (porcu...

Hi Yoda Below is a sketch of the method I used to fix the hand rails to the pilot house and cabin roofs, without putting more holes or ugly back plates in Stella. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/13526/normal_Hand%20rail.JPG Firstly I attached the plate to the hand rail with screws and Sik...

Hi Rick, Sorry for the delay getting back to you. The Bride and I have been moving house. Lived in the same place for 15 years and I had forgotten how stressful moving can be. I have done up a CD with just over a 1,000 photo's so all I need is a postal address and it will be on it's way to you. Don'...

Hi GK, Thanks for the prop calcs. Below is another snap of Stella's GPS and RPM http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/13526/thumb_SOG.jpg You gotta love big tides. I have posted a few more photos to the album showing a rear canopy and storm covers. This gives us an extra room at night and prote...

I strained my eyes on your console picture for a while trying to see the speed on the Navman. Today I was getting 7.1kns at 2400rpm at the top of the tide. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/13526/normal_GPS%20and%20Taco.jpg A little latter, on the outgoing tide, she was crusing along at 8k...

Well it is real handy for finding bouys, markers, and shorelines in the dark The detail on the C-map in the Navman GPS for our area is excellent. The only things not showing are other craft. So long as I keep it up to date and check "warnings to mariners" on the Internet regularly a radar...

Radar? Why do I want radar, so long as everyone else has radar I don't need it.

Hope you see me before I see you,
Macca.

P.S. What's winter?.

[img] I have tried my best to keep the console as simple as possible. Starting from the switches on the top port side: A. Switches 1. Navigation lights. 2. Anchor light. 3. Stern light. 4. Engine rook light. 5. Aft deck lig...
