I was able to splice the side and bottom panels. I also got the seat cleats glued to the seat frames. I also made fairing boards for fairing whe...

Re: Crazy Terry's GF 12

I just sent in my order for most of the supplies needed to construct the boat, everything except for the primer and paint. I hope to be able to start as soon as the order arrives. The...

Re: Crazy Terry's GF 12

Thank you Joe: :) You are right about the price of cars today. A little over a month ago I helped my daughter buy a car. But now the tranny is going out. I hope I do a little better this time. Since the cash for clunkers program, all of the vehicles that us lower income folks relied on have been des...

Re: Here is WHY you use good plywood!!!

Thank you George: Thank you for taking the time to take those pictures and posting them. I almost went with a cheaper alternative ply myself. I am very glad that I listened to the advise that the pros gave me and went with meranti. It is awfully big of you to admit your mistake and to post it for al...

Re: Crazy Terry's GF 12

Thanks George and Larry: :) The tips and advice are appreciated. Without them I would be completely lost. I figured the bottom would be important to the profile of the sides. That is why I taking my time on this panel. I am contemplating cutting it just outside the lines, and thin using a plane and ...

Re: Crazy Terry's GF 12

Just a quick update. I was able to get down the drive to my friends garage, and was able to start working on the boat. But I must mention there are still mounds of snow remaining near the garage, and the drive is still wet and soft. I have to be careful or my car will get stuck in some of the ruts. ...

My wife's mom died last Thursday, her aunt on Saturday morning and my best friends father-in-law on Saturday night. Memorial services/funerals next weekend. I am so sorry to hear of all...
