Re: od16 # 2

Well I have made a little progress since my last post. Work has been getting in the way :help: :help: , but have got some free time coming up at the end of November. Hull sides are glued, rear end glassed and new shape for casting deck cut out and dry fitted. Noticed I have a small twist in the bott...

Re: od16 #2 Some Questions???

Thanks Tom & Jacques for your replies. Glad to hear your comments re the consol Jacques, as my chase tube does exit from the sole a little further forward than the last dory so I will be moving the consol about 1.5 - 2 foot further forward :D :D . I certainly did not notice any problems with the...

Re: od16 #2 Some Questions???

CL & Larry B, thanks for your replies, I think I will have to rethink my ideas, all of your observations make sense to me 8) so I will give the long skeg the flick and keep the consol at the same spot as the last dory :D "The designer really does, pretty much, know what he is doing &q...

Re: od16 #2 Some Questions???

Thanks guys for your replies. Um..Larry, 650mm is 2 foot 2 inches (65mm is 2.56inches :) ), I moved my last consol about a foot and a half forward without any noticable problems in trim, so I am thinking of going an extra foot this time, do you have any thoughts on this enterprise :?: My dory also t...

Re: best/lightest 25hp 4-stroke?

Hi Rob, I sold my od16 to my brother in law, who promptly ripped out my Suzi 30hp and replaced it with a 30Hp etec. I was amazed at the quietness of this motor and its torque, my impression was that at 3/4 throttle it was doing the same as wot of the Suzi 2 stroke. I am no tech head about motors but...

Re: od16 # 2

Re: od16 # 2

Thanks for the comments guys and the request for photos :) . I wasn't planning on posting pix of this build, but I will take some shots this afternoon after gluing the hull sides and put them on the board. Re: od16 # 2

sorry mate... not sure of the meaning of the question :?: :?: Are you asking after the quality of my build re the short time frame or are you aking for pictures :?: :?: :?: Specificity would eliminate the possibility of misinterpretation and hence an unwarrented response :D Either way didn't catch a...

od16 # 2

Started my 2nd od16 2 weeks ago and have been lucky enough to have a good run at it without interuption. Now have hull sides dry fitted and will glue them tomorrow (fishing today :D ) Build has gone very quickly the second time around, although as usual chine panels were a bugger to fit but finally ...
