I think all the big manufacturers all build good stuff now days. So I would make my chose based on the dealer. Down here that means Suzuki but it would be different in other areas. As for power I have yet to hear anyone complain they had too much power. The extra cost for more power is cheap compare...

Yes indeed that is a nice work space!
PeeWee has a good eye and is correct about the droopy bow. Even so looks like you are doing a fine job and this will be a very nice boat.

I would not worry about the sole for now. Those first side panels were the biggest problem for me. You are doing a good job prefitting them. As long as things are fair I would not worry about getting a perfect fit. You can fill some pretty big gaps with puddy and not hurt a thing.

That looks like a heck of a trip! How long did it take to make the loop? And did you have to wear netting for the bugs?

Rash of boat sinking all over. Up this way we had a 50 foot seiner ice up and roll over taking six with it. The sea is indeed a mighty mistress.
