GF-16 Project in Central FL

Been a long time since I have been around on here. Old timers will remember my GF-16 build and there should still be the build and pic documented in the archives. I have loved this boat but it is time to let someone else love her. My kids got adult sized and we upgraded to a 21ft Center console and ...

Re: Aquasport 19-6 Transom Replacement

I am currently rebuilding a 1990 19-6 / 200. I replaced the transom with coosa board and made a full transom. I went at it from the inside. the transom core does not go all the way down or all the way to the sides of the boat. My transom core is completely tied in and much stronger than the original...

Re: Cracker Larry

Dori, If your reading this I am very sorry for your loss. Larry was a great mentor for many here and loved participating with the community. He was a gracious host to me many years ago when I came to the house to visit. His humor, wisdom, and stories will be missed by all. You and your family are in...

Re: FS 19 build

I'll be watching as well.. FS19 is a tempting build. Wife's family has a place at pine harbor just down the channel.

Re: PastorBob's GF-16 ***Rebuild***

Thanks Gary. How is the Monstaliner holding up? I'm thinking of doing something similar as I originally had textured the interior with skid no more and don't have the patients to get it completely faired for a flat paint job.

Re: GF16 in FL

Wow your moving right along... We'll see who's in the water first my rebuild or your build... Do you mind sharing the cost of the trailer? I'm thinking my steel trailer will not be a good choice now that I am in coastal FL. I think you made a good choice extending the runners. They add a lot of stif...

Re: GF16 in FL

My strakes go forward a bit more than yours. It adds stiffness on the front section. ( you can tell if you get in the boat while on the trailer). It also makes a rub area for beaching. My forward strakes took a good deal of ware over the years from beaching. I attached my by making kerfs in the wood...

Re: PastorBob's GF-16 ***Rebuild***

Well after kicking around selling the GF-16 I have decided to rebuild her. After looking into buying another boat I have figured that anything I want is ridiculously expensive or would require a year to rebuild. So I am starting tearing the GF-16 back a little bit to put her together. Then I will ei...

Re: Putting my FL14 up for sale

I'm selling my GF-16 for less than the material cost to build one.. Decks need redone and boat needs painted but it is a solid hull that could be finished out pretty quickly. Throwing in a bunch of supplies to finish it as well... Message me if your interested.

Larry, Sounds like you need a GF16 :) I hear you all... Again I am just testing the water. If no one is interested I will bring it down next week and begin working on it after we move. Good to hear from you all.
