Inboard jetdrives??
Has anyone ever thought of rigging a bateau design with an inboard jetdrive like the ones on the mercury website?
http://www.mercurymarine.com
This would be ideal for all the flatboats most people want right?.
What would the problems with this??

The chase tubing exits in the most starboard aft storage box as you can see in the picture. http://gallery.bateau2.com/displayimage.php?pos=-1602 In this area under the sole, most of the water came out. I used...

I do have foam under my sole, but not in the 3 aft compartments. Even if water should get under the sole when i'm out on the water the boat will still be unsinkable. The main thing i'm worried about is the chance of something starting to rot in there. I thinks it's a small chance because off all the...

Yes, first glass the inside of the hull and then glass the stringers in place. After my boat was flipped i put it on a concrete floor with an old curtain under it. This floor was perfectly straight and so is my bottom now. My GF-18 is going to hit the water somewhere next week, the motor is on, cons...

Jason, no i didn't cut a slot in the sole, this was not in the plans. But the piece of frame under the sole has 1 x 1 inch battens glued to both sides of it, to give the sole a bigger contactarea and the wallstiffner is pushing directly on top of them so a direct joint wouldn't have made a big diffe...

Jason, sorry to hear about your problems, but I'm glad I'm hearing them before mine hits the water. I asked you some time ago why you didn't place the pieces of frame B and C under the sole and you replied that you were going to replace them with some thick pieces of pine wood. When you said that, i...
