I am in South Milwaukee and I have an FL14 which I use on small lakes. Our favorite is Eagle Springs Lake outside of Mukwanango. We do a little fishing there, then take the channel over to Lulu lake for some great swimming, socializing etc. It always draws a lot of attention. Even got invited to an ...

According to this chart: http://www.marinshopen.se/Hj%C3%A4lpmedel/Modellguide/Mariner/60275Hk/tabid/115/Default.aspx It looks like a 1993 model. You should ask someone on one of the engine forums to be sure. Also it is my understanding that parts for these motors are ordered by s/n, not model year....

I made this modification. Extra frame to enclose under the forward seat. I actually made two new frames, one in front of the original and one behind it. Wasn't difficult at all, if I recall I made cardboard templates. The bottom butt block is partially under the aft frame and extends into the expose...

Dave, Your boat should last close to forever using that high quality wood. As a reference, I built mine 4 yrs ago with inexpensive ACX plywood, no exterior fiberglass cloth and latex paint, graphite on the bottom. It lives outside in the Wisconsin winter and shows no sign of checking and still looks...

Good Luck Dave!!

This is a great boat. Be sure to do some searches on the forum. Several years back there were many of us building this boat and there were a lot of posts.

Have fun!!

I did 13b for the bottom panels. Just make sure the frames and sides are lined up and the diagonals are close before you trace. This is really easy. I didn't sweat the details much and everything came out fine.

Good Luck

I have a 46# motor which I use on my FL14 on no gas lakes. It works very well and I am always suprised how long the battery lasts. Absolute top power ends quickly, but 60-70% is available for what seems like hours although I have never actually measured. I always bring the oars with me, but have nev...

Hey Fred, Where are you located? I am in South Milwaukee. Built an FL14 about 4 yrs ago and I still have it. It has held up great. Let me know where you are and maybe I can bring over a sander and give you a hand when you get to the fairing stage. Interesting project. I really admire all the ingenui...

The 22' power cat sounds interesting and I really like what David (Vman777) is doing with the DE23. I would love to see a raised deck version of both the DE23 and DE25 with and w/o pilot houses. I know these may come close to some of Devlins designs, but I have always admired those but would prefer ...

Hi Jack, This is easy. Yes, much of the support comes from customers. These are customers who have already built the boat you will be building or one very similar. The designer will also give you advice and instructions as necessary or if no one else can answer your questions. They are always monito...
