Re: New design, larger FS13

Just curious, could the larger FS13 be decked out like a sneak boat or a slightly smaller and lighter version of the DS15?

Something like this?

Re: Flounder boat

I'm thinking the XF 20 might be a better fit.

Looking at the pic below, I could see a bank of lights around the bow and a fan mounted above the outboard.

Re: Joe's P19 RE-LAUNCH

I've got this on an aluminum boat and it works well. Two banks (for two batteries) and 10amps per bank so it can charge pretty quick. http://www.hodgesmarine.com/GUEST-2620A-20-AMP-DUAL-BATTERY-APPLICATION-p/gue2620a.htm?gclid=Cj0KEQjwgoKqBRDt_IfLr8y1iMUBEiQA8Ua7XX-txAUJhgXsZ5SE_8k8_t_OeT9GJc43i4874...

Re: Toddinbr's FS18 build

I think I'd glass it with a small slightly raised lip around the edge that your feet can sense so you know when you are about to step off the edge. Nothing you'd trip over, just enough to know you are on the edge without looking.

Re: A Cracker Built GF18

I noticed your post on the top of p. 163. Do you want to leave your address posted? Thanks but no matter. I'm in the phone book and easy enough to find if anybody wants to. I'd be glad to meet you too. You have my address :D Not sure he's got to worry about someone just rolling up a dirt road to a ...

That doesn't look like it. That looks more like woven roving.

Re: RB18

May not have enough beam and you might need to ease up a bit on the tumblehome, but turn it into a center console, add some Carolina flare to the bow and that would be sexy.

If $50 a sheet for plywood is sounding high, I don't think you'll like the price of some of the composite materials.

Re: I hope he's not stealing plans!

Those alternating bottom ribs look to be the key to the strength of this hull. Maybe Jacques can implement this design breakthrough into some of his hulls. Should save on materials.

Also, it goes to show what spending a few extra hours on fairing will do to make a hull shine.
