Hi, thanks for all the feedback. There is still a lot to do in the inside but I'm hoping to have the bulk of it done by spring (southern hemisphere).
And thanks again for everyone's help.
More photos to follow in the next few weeks.
Cheers Rick

Re: DE23 Compliance Plate requirements (Australia Abp)
Maximum loading is no problem Jacques set the number in the Study Plans as 2000lbs over hull weight so 3500lbs all in. You will need a lot of gear and passengers to reach that mark. PPI is 560lbs so draft will go a long ways to reach that. You can use the 2000lbs + 1500lbs on your paper work as thi...

Re: DE23 Compliance Plate requirements (Australia Abp)
Here is what I found and a survey is almost always required even though you can supply most of the information. https://cncmarine.com.au/registering-your-boat/ I believe cncmarine is a kit supplier in OZ. I believe if you fill out the forms using Bateau as the plan suppliers and Naval Architect you...

Re: DE23 Compliance Plate requirements (Australia Abp)
Thanks again, it seems like a bit of a tricky one.
I'll look into further. If you know of any regs that might relate to this (over 6m) issue please can you point me in the right direction?
It will get sorted one way or another.
Where are you based in Australia? I'm in Perth.

DE23 Compliance Plate requirements (Australia Abp)
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with the specifications on the DE23. I am in the process of trying to register my newly built DE23 in Australia and need some information to get the required Australian Builders Plate. I will attach a copy of a sample compliance plate and a photo of the boat. The i...

Re: DE23 potential oversize problem
Thank you everyone for your help, it is greatly appreciated. I will look at foaming most of the under sole hull and probably just leave the compartments nearest the transom with the fuel tank feeding to a bilge pump.

Re: DE23 potential oversize problem
Thanks, I have looked on the plans and from what I can see there are no markings for limber holes or foam locations unless I'm missing something. Some of the DE23s in the gallery are shown with buoyancy foam under the soles but I'm not sure if foam is really necessary and limber holes? Maybe I shoul...

Re: DE23 potential oversize problem
Hi again and thanks for all the suggestions. I will look at a stainless steel strip as an option. Not sure if I need to post a separate question but I couldn't find anything on the forum regarding the volume of space under the sole of the DE23? I have been considering filling some areas with foam, l...
