Re: LM18 CC-TX build
Getting ready to glass top deck. Do the hatch gutters need cloth on inside channel? I don’t really want to stop the cloth at the edge of the plywood deck and not have that corner protected. I also don’t want to fight trying to force cloth into that small channel.

I understand cloth for strength and durability but will okoume plywood really check if there isn’t cloth on it. Im planning on putting cloth on top deck but wondering if it is necessary inside hatches, tops...

Thanks Edd. Beautiful boat. Are you running a manual jackplate or is that just a spacer?

Re: LM18 CC-TX build
Some progress. Bow mostly done and deck installed. Finishing up scuppers and miscellaneous items in stern before I glue the back deck down. I really messed up and didn’t incorporate cup holders into the console at first but got that sorted out. 30hp tohatsu just came in so really trying to get some ...

Re: LM18 CC-TX build
Got inside glassed up, frames/ stringers set and filleted before the cold snap. Started cutting deck and sole since its too cold to lay resin. Does the top edge of transom need cloth on it?

Re: LM18 CC-TX build
Got some paint slapped on it and flipped. Kind of exciting seeing the inside after spending way too many hours staring at the bottom with a sander in my hand.

Re: LM18 CC-TX build
Did as yall said. Knocked down the strands a bit and rolled one more slightly thickened resin coat over everything. Now starting the fairing process. Using the west microlight filler. Can I attach the skegs and rubrail directly to the filler or should I grind down to fiberglass a bit so the adhesive...

Re: LM18 CC-TX build
Thanks! Did one side at a time. Started with cloth rolled up and precoated as I went along and then came back for top layer. Dumping the resin out on top and troweling out was the way to go. Had to use a brush on the sides and that took forever. I still have a few areas where the bottom coat of biax...
