Re: Trailer question
Rollers can always be a problem with mechanical reliability, i.e. they require maintenance. BUT, if you are in salt water, the idea of salt water, trapped against my hull and bunk bothers me a lot. I had to a lot of repairs on an Al boat with this problem. I know fiberglass is a different material, ...

Could you use OSB? I just absolutely have come to HATE MDF for all the dust it makes.Cracker Larry wrote:The temporary molds are from MDF. It's hard to find decent wood that is inexpensive. We're just going to throw it away, but it has to be straight and strong for a month or so. Not much else suitable.

Re: Gf18 fuel tank - bow
Can you have too much fuel?
As far as amounts, all I can suggest is what I do, and I always have a separate 2 gallon can stored somewhere in case I run out.

Re: fs18 questions
Shipping charges are reasonable and buying the plywood here guarantees you get the good stuff :D It's high if you need one or 2 sheets for sure, but I've got 22 sheets on the way and the shipping is only $105. That's less than $5 a sheet. The FS18 will need about 11 sheets, so $10 each for shipping...

Re: fs18 questions
You can reduce the cost a good bit if you cut the plywood yourself instead of buying the CNC kit. +1, A big part of the plywood cost can be the shipping, so IF you can find it local, you could save a bunch. I can get some for a little more then what they sell for here but save a bunch on shipping. ...

Re: BOM confusion
OP, the BOM says the OB15 needs 11.5 sheets, and the FS17 12 sheets, so very similar, but the OB uses some heavier 1/2 and 3/4 inch that the FS17 does not.
Along those lines JM, as I am thinking the FS17 for myself, where does the BOM on the FS17 get you? Is that to the 'open work boat' stage?
