bula from fiji!
is it possible to run a 15 hp motor on the garvey 11? would it need transom
to be beefed up?
i have a 15 hp mercury i just bought and would like to use it.

Yes totally possible. No need to beef up the transom. I ran a GV10 with a 15 for years. The GV11 is just a slightly bigger version.
But it is important to cover the bottom of the hull (inside and outside) with the optional 1 layer of 400 gm (12 oz) biaxial cloth specified.
I imagine in Fiji it may be impossible to get biaxial. In that case 2 layers of 9 oz woven cloth can be used instead.
p.s. we have a good friend in Fiji that occasionally drops in to Lautoka. She lives on Naviti in the Yasawas normally.
