SC16 Mid frame

Looking at larger builds but see wisdom in starting small-ish. Looking at the swift canoe.

The reduced weight one done by Cape Man and the beautiful one by Mich Coughlin adorning the main page of the site both eliminated(?) the mid frame. We canoe camp a lot, sleeping shoreside. Would like ability to also sleep in canoe in bivvy on occasion.

I think Cape Man has experienced some flex. I think Mr Coughlin added a sole to his?

Disregard - I found the thread where I see that yes the mid frame is structural and required.
