Beautiful fish. Beautiful.

Fuzz, isn’t that where I got skunked repeatedly?
My already completed 'Lil Bit'. A Martens Goosen V12 set up to sail me to the fishing holes.

Ouch!! Fuzz couldn't fish where we were on the river. No motor zone. Bought a seat on a drift boat.

Fuzz ain’t wrong. Beautiful country that decided “we don’t want that guy lowering property values”.

I remember conversations about no motor zones. We did some bank fishing on a river where it was amazing to watch folks pulling fish out of the river. Seemed like the only skill needed was being able to breathe. I put a line in the water and the entire river shut off the “bite”. No one caught anything. I called it quits and the river turned it back on.

Momma nature lock-jawed the giant flounder on me too! It’s almost like someone wanted to make sure I didn’t get all “Alaska is a place to consider living” in my head. If so, it was an effective approach.

There were well over 30 boats on the river, 2 to four anglers per boat, and word is most of them were completely skunked. We were the talk of the fleet! 5 nice kings, a nice Sockeye, 3 Jack Kings, a beautiful steelhead we released, a REALLY nice wild King we also released, and a Dolly Vardin between 4 of us. Our guide was amazing! Corey Hetrik who owns Chugach Backcountry Adventures. Cost me $300 with the tip but we'll worth it.

Craig that sounds like a very fair price for your trip. Have paid more for less results in other places. Tom

Then a real treat - having a fine Hazy Angler IPA at the Cooper Landing Brewery while watching goats on the mountain across the road.
