Wait to put Marine Epoxy over West?

Used the last several ounces of some West System with fast on hardwood rubrails, but didn't quite get the job done as it started kicking quicker than I'd planned. I almost went ahead and mixed up some BBC epoxy to finish the last few feet but got pulled off the job for the day.

Luckily last night I ran across a thread that mentions avoiding using one epoxy brand over another until the first has fully cured. I had never considered that possible chemical reaction being a problem, but it sure makes sense. There was also mention that some brands do not have a problem like this.

I've already skipped a day, and the West had hardened to nonclogging within 5 hours yesterday. Do I need to wait a few more days instead of getting fresh BBC stuff up against the 2-day-old West tomorrow?

Two days should be fine and the West should be cured enough to apply the BBC over it. Tom
