Some epoxy paint going on the Forepeak and the drip tray for the Air Conditioner.

Did a test to see how we'll assemble the forward cabin linings with the portholes. We'll prefab them the same way we did for the main cabin linings with the cherry veneer plywood facia.

Hotter 'n a hookers doorknob on nickle night so had to call it quits early today. Considering installing a misting system in the shed to keep things cooler so I can work longer.

Cheers!

Where we are today.

Image

Water tap for deck & anchor washdown.

Image

A little tung oil on the mooring bit. It'll get varnish later on.

Hotter 'n Hell today. It was 40 C (104 F) by 11 AM. I was trying to drill up from below into the mooring bit for 4 x 6" galvanized screws. Almost passed out so I bailed.

Anyhow, I won't quit!

Cheers!

The fordeck is glued and tabbed
The pulpit is bolted down
The anchor roller is bolted down
And, none of it is ever coming back off, well not in my lifetime.

Enjoying a break from the heat.

Progress is slow. I fell into the boat last week carrying a couple sheets of plywood. Pulled a muscle or something in my lower back. Did manage to get things bolted into place though.

How's your day going fellas? This marks a milestone. The point where we stop making it ugly and switch to making it pretty.
