GF14 in France

It's an amazingly powerful and combative fish. It did not exist here 30 years ago, it's been introduced from eastern Europe and is quite invasive, you find it everywhere in Europe now. A fisherman's dream - or nightmare, your call...

A bigger one with the GF14, this time 2.40 meters and 100kgs. The GF14 feels cramped at times !

Still having fun with the GF14, the wels catfish season is outstanding.

That is a heck of a fish! Did you catch it by yourself? Must have been a real battle getting 220 pounds of fish into the boat You are sure making good use of the boat. How does the fish taste?

Thanks, I've caught a dozen since september with the GF14, between 1.9 and 2.4 meters. I'm doing catch and release, so not eating them (what do you do with 100kg of fish?...) but it is edible. I used to lift them on board but they're getting bigger and too heavy, now I tie them with a leash and drag them to the shore, a picture and back to the river.
