If that pic is from the plans then looks like the "frames" only go on the bottom part of the stingers. BUT, don't cut anything off just yet. You could have just added the upper frames (cleats) to soon. The upper frames will make the deck stronger.
Also, the frame that did not stick to well at the joint is where a butt block may go. Normally on the butt joints, there is a board on one side glued over that joint to give it more strength and keep it from doing that. It's like using finger joints, more surface area to hold everything together.
Others may see it differently.

"that it isn't just an ordinary sort of boat. Sometimes it's a Boat, and sometimes it's more of an Accident. It all depends." "Depends on what?" "On whether I'm on the top of it or underneath it."

Thanks Quest! You're not wrong... looks like I may need cleats to glue the bunks down later on; But that's just on one side (outboard side) of the stringer. Included a pic of Zingman's completed berth for reference.
Also... I knew I saw it somewhere... in this image, I took it to mean that the stringers' framing went the entire way to their tips, both sides.
Re: the stringer break at the seam... The design is to offset the seams when laminating the two thicknesses of plywood. In this case, I went to move the stringer without adequately supporting both ends, and it let go at one of the joints. I was telling my son that it may be a good idea to put a butt block in there now that the joint may be weakened, and it's below the sole anyway.
Still having fun!

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate! Just woke up to our first snow... easily 2" with more to come. I did get a salamander heater for the boat shed so that maaaayyyybe we can sneak some more work in this winter. Temps of 50+ are going to be mighty scarce/nonexistent for awhile.

Unlikely the rear would. I am late to the party here. But that would make engine mounting impossible and you’d need to make a flat mount then.
