What to use over Interlux Brightside paint

Post by WhiteH2O »

I built a GV11 a year ago and used Blue Glow White Interlux Brightside on the interior. I have the boat in doing some work on it and need to do some interior touch ups with the paint, and I can't find it anywhere since apparently they discontinued it, so I guess I need a replacement. I hope to find something that will stick to my nonskid areas that have been painted with the brightside since I can't really sand those areas. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a topside paint that will work well over Brightside?

Did they discontinue Brightside in general, or just your particular color?

A quick search online and it looks to be still available.

I believe they discontinued all Brightside paints. I've looked around online, and have found some available, but not less than a gallon that can ship to my address. There are some available that won't ship to my address, but places that will ship to me seem to be out of stock already.

Other forums have recommended Easypoxy, so I have a quart of that on order.

That sucks. It was a good, durable paint, and easy to get good results with.

So Interlux discontinued their line of Brightside and Perfection. The came out with a new line called Toplac. Interlux claims that the new product has increased color retention and durability.

Here is the TDS for anyone who is interested:

Unfortunately, I (Boat Builder Central) no longer sell Interlux products. I will say that, prior to us discontinuing sales of Interlux, I had several customers use Toplac with very positive experiences and results.
