Huge orange flying boat rises off a lake,
Thousand-year-old petroglyphs doing a double take,
Pointing a finger at eternity
I'm sitting in the middle of this ecstasy

Name that tune...

Good morning from the Salmon River in Stanley, Idaho! This is the view from our porch. I went out to get the fishing rod but the rod tube on top of the car is frozen shut!

Beautiful cape man. A few cups of hot water will unfreeze that cap. A northerner's trick.

All good things must end. Heading out to Oregon today and leaving a sweet spot of America for sure. Seemed weird to watch an Osprey hunting the river near sunset last night. I always relate them to coastal areas, but this guy's living at 6,000 + feet in snowy Idaho.

Woke up at 3:30 am to take some shots of the stars (which didn't work). The view was breath taking. At sunrise was treated to a herd of pronghorn on one hill and a herd oof elk on another across the river. Lower Stanley, ID. Stop if your ever able.
