Thought I posted this before but can't find it. Two Fridays ago we were scheduled to go offshore for opening day of red snapper but the guy taking us got Covid. Instead we took the couple that was going with us out on Clara on Tampa Bay, running south from Cockroach Bay to Terra Ceia Bay. Dead high tide for the first hours, but as soon as the water started moving we caught some mangrove snapper on the flats. The heat was unbearable by 11:30 so we ran north to Bahia Beach and had an awesome lunch on the water. The couple couldn't grasp that we built the boat ourselves! Another lovely day on a Bateau boat!

That's her in the background...

The wife has a job at Caladesi Island State park redoing their exhibits. Wheels up at 5 am to get on the west side for sun up. My son was shooting with a camera and drone. While they were working I caught mackerel.

Very nice!
