Plywood and Silvertip Epoxy Kit ordered! I just wanted to say that I called quite a few places around here (Rochester, NY) and nobody could come even close to Bateau's prices for plywood. On average they were about $50 more / sheet. Not to mention NYS tax... (8%!)

Now I need to start thinking about the most important thing. What color should I paint it?

Today I cleaned the garage out as much as I'm going to. My plywood shipment arrives tomorrow! 8O

The clock is ticking! So much to do! I have plenty of projects that need attention. I need to get this boat done so I can use it this year...

Celebrate :D There aren't many things as exciting as a fresh stack of beautiful wood 8)

Just remember, measure twice, ponder a while, measure again

Not to mention the quality, service and tech support that you get from Bateau.

I found the same thing with plywood pricing. Even with the shipping to western New York, it was cheaper than the fir marine plywood that is available locally. Rick

Last year when I was researching plywood prices locally I found a place in Rochester that has approximately the same prices as Bateau (Okoume only). They e-mailed a quote to me that was very good. When I wanted to order from them this year I found out that those are their wholesale prices. I didn't realize that they were only a wholesaler and mistook me for a shop of some kind last year. They were unwilling to sell directly to me. :(

That should give everybody an idea of how good Bateau's prices really are. As if you guys didn't know that already...

Door rams are always painted black. At least that's what Steven Seagal ("Lawman") told me.

GET ON THE GROUND! :(

Yep, you better get to building before the heat gets there. Good luck on your build.
