Getting ready to cut the holes for the chase tubes. Was wondering if its ok to cut down through the floor frames and then cap on either side with the battens or should I cut the pipe into three pieces and use couplers?

Yes, it's better to cut the pipe than the frames.

Don't cut through the top of the frames! Use a hole saw and drill through the center of them.

Open the picture full size in your gallery. Right click on it and select "Copy image location". Paste the link in your reply, highlight it, then click on the box above that says "Img"

Got all battens glued in place. I should have coated everything with neat epoxy before I glued them in but I like to do things the hard way. The hot melt glue idea for holding the battens in place was genious. The boat would have taken an extra month without that little trick.

Should start pouring foam later this week. My preference is not to overfill the spaces. CL suggested trimming with a hand saw.
Not sure how you do that close to the sides?

We will see how it goes.
