coverage for FS18

Post by toddinbr »

on the FS 18 I am planning on having a two colors one for the sides and another for the deck and interior. the bottom is graphite epoxied. Would a quart of one color for the sides and another quart of different color for the deck (not including hatch interiors) be enough? If so how much activator and reducer do I need to order with it?

one more, after reading the jet-about thread again I noticed you put a clear coat over it. Was that required for the top coat or was mainly for the Brightwork?

clear is certainly not required, I used it because of the bright work and I wanted the final coating surface to not have any tape line between the mahogany strip/red stripe/wood deck.

One quart for the outside should be plenty, same for inside. So you would need a couple quarts of color, a quart of catalyst, and a quart of reducer. the accelerator is handy to have, but not at all required 9in the summer heat it may cause more problems than its worth)
