Yeah, we have stick-it poles on our two skiffs. One has a stainless tube mounted to the stern to stick the pole through...good idea, but the current will put a bend in the pole & it can be a real pain to pull back out (especially if you're by yourself). I much rather stick it, and use the rope to hook to a cleat. More times than not, we just pull up to a marshy edge and poke the pole into the marsh on more of a horizontal plane...sort of like if you were sword fighting with the marsh...LoL...but seriously, it's much easier to poke a marshy bank horizontally than it is to try and dig into a hard shell/rocky bottom vertically.

Guys Joel has sold a bracket and fiberglass stake from the store for several years. For the 3/4" stake https://boatbuildercentral.com/product/ ... rder-only/ for the bracket https://boatbuildercentral.com/product/ ... m-bracket/ Some guys have built a wood handle for it even.

TomW1,

These transom brackets were made by one of our local weld shops. We stopped having them made because we sold them so infrequently. I actually didn't realize we still had them on our site. I just removed them.

Google "stick it pole bracket" and you'll find plenty of options. They are not uncommon in the least.

I still like a simple cleated line with a bowline. Simple and uses a dock line you already have on board.

Yes, I removed both the poles and the brackets from the site.

Been trying to plug away little by little each day.
Got the fuel tank installed in the front hatch. Used 1/8" Neoprene strips under the tank. Mounted with 1/4" SS bolts that were pre-attached underneath the floor.
I also got the channel and supports installed for the aft deck hatch. I used some System Three Gel Magic to mount the channel to the transom and frame D.

Agreed...I hate using the transom bracket. If I'm by myself, I NEVER use it.

Reid, I like the way that tanks mounts. Could you explain a little more about how you mounted it. It looks like you bolted it from the deck below, or from some type of added structure you added for it to set on. Very neat and clean. :D
