HMM? That is a good question! I even went to double check, if possible, sadly no. I put the drain below the sole and that makes the front lockers deeper than the sole anchor is just deep enough to hook the anchor where the shank is hanging down and just clears the bottom of the locker. Had to cut the first bottom out and make it deeper and smaller. Worked out cause stowing the anchor, line use in aft part of locker and the last thing is the anchor chain and anchor, so the chain holds the shank and keeps it from bang the side in rough seas.

But I think I have a plan that may work, and I will not have to do any cutting. But the plan keeps evolving in my head. And keep going over the physics of it. I can cut a thin section off a elbow or any 3/4" PVC fitting. shove the PVC through the final opening and through the drain opening in the bottom of the lockers I glue the fitting piece on to form a flange. Spin the pvc pipe and add silicone adhesive to the back side of the flange. Once the silicone goes all the way around the flange, connect the other end of the PVC pipe to the drainpipe at the inspection port. Let all cure for a few days. Water test again to confirm plan A worked. Plan B would be re-design forward lockers and drain to above sole. I hope plan B doesn't have to be used.

Did not pass water test. Going to have to do plan B but with a little planning. I should have planned for an inspection port to access this drain opening.

We need a pinned topic thread on builder bloopers. I have a few.

Plan A to seal the drain opening was laughable failure. Plan B never happened due to not wanting to remove all electrical connections, batteries, main breakers and the power selector sw. So I came up with plan C. And it seems to have worked. Cut out the floors of both forward lockers and then a small section of the wall that divided them.
this gave me a lot of easy access and not as much work so easy to repair.

There is a drain hole in the frame, just can't see it to well. It's there.

After the sealer dried and water tested. NO LEAKS!!!
The locker floors will stay out and just patch the dividing wall and just have a small drain opening for each locker. The wall will also be the strainer. Easy access and easy to unclog.

Ana Marie is hosting a lake party this Sunday. A farewell to all the employees that will be going back to school and me turning a year older.
The skiff will tow a big canoe with a few passengers and anchor up at the bulkhead in shallow water. Hope I get to take pics this time!
