I was recently given a couple of sheets of Divinycell H80 in 1/2" thickness and was wanting to know if they could be used for either the sole or bottom of a SK14 I am fixing to start as a 1st time build. In my limited knowledge of foam core, I realize there apparently wont be much of a weight savings, but hey, they are free. Having never used this type product before, a couple of questions:
1) Do you glass both sides of the core w/ similar type glass/epoxy as if you were using okume?
2) Do you have to wrap the edges in wood ( ?? ) so the foam will have a radius to glass over?
3) Will the chance to save a nickel be worth the effort, or should I just go w/ okume and not bother w/ something I know nothing about?
Thanks in advance for any advice / suggestions you may have.

You need 2 or 3 more times glass on Divinycell. Use it for frames and seat tops with one layer 12 oz. each side.

Great advice-you can use it for miscellaneous stuff. Two sheets won’t get you far..
