u r wrong and comparing wrong sizes apples and oranges and bananas
sorry if I sound mean, but all the prices are straight up and all the gurit is build to order and all the add ons, perforations, cutting, are all upcharges from base prices
you need to call Noah's to get the prices
if there is ever any oddities; it would be based on an inventory they want to move

Re: Corecell M - Plain vs. Cut Pricing and Usage
Corecell M is sold in 2x4 or 4x8 sheets. A 2x4 panel is 1/4th the size of the full size panels..
When you see the price at $63.01 for the 2x4, if you bought 4 of those; price would be about $252 dollars for the equivalent 4x8 panel which is sold for $225 a panel.
Noah's pricing on the internet is very confusing.
Just call them.

scrim is shown at $64.50 for a 2x4 panel or would be 258 for a full 4x8 equivalent. Frankly, it will probably cost more than that and the internet price might be low....

Man, what a brain fart I had when writing the initial post - I got it in my head that the cut stuff is half-sheets when they are (as you point out) in fact quarter-sheets.

Totally okay. Talk about making mistakes...lots of conversions done by me.Lurker4567 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 2:54 pm Man, what a brain fart I had when writing the initial post - I got it in my head that the cut stuff is half-sheets when they are (as you point out) in fact quarter-sheets.
Corecell requires wetout or you’ll starve the glass-just like plywood. The rate is 0.64kg per cubic meter. I wanted it in ounces per yard. I converted 2.2 pounds per kg...my old friend said the part seems dry about 8 times. Finally checked the math and found the error.
I knew what you did right away. All the best; you passed the first failure test.

Don't without getting specs from the designer (that's me). There is much more to it than just substituting plywood for foam.Lurker4567 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 1:01 pm . . .
I'm thinking about building an ultra low version of the FS14_LS. It would end up more like the SK14 or a giant SUP with an outboard and be completely foam filled with no hatches, etc.

I'm going to start a new thread for design in the appropriate section.
