Went for silvers but they were at or very close to the spawning stage and had lock jaw. One dumb one took a hook.
Took a little trip out of Homer today. This Indian summer we are having is too nice to stay home.
My buddy with about the biggest flounder I have seen.

You will note the perfect weather :D
Only took an hour to get a limit of halibut. Nothing big but each fish will make eight meals or so.

Old halibut schooner. One of the most seaworthy designs ever.

Ran across this (there are a few more but this one has a pile of folks sitting at my desk) during the not-icane. Figures Fuzz and narfi and ... someone else that I can't remember... could say "yeah, that's not real" about it.

Thats real, the company I work for flies day trips there.

Same park but different location where the idiot Timothy Treadwell filmed himself and his girlfriend getting eaten by bears.

The falls there are amazing, and the viewing platforms give you a real close view of the bears catching salmon and eating and fighting.

Out driving around today I came across three trees that had 30-40 eagles in them. Did not have my camera with me and when I got back with it this is all that were still there. If I looked around there was probably 100 more within 200 yards.

I always wonder how brave a rabbit would need to be to run under that tree :help:
