you know I realized I never mentioned the number of stringer, there are 4. These are the center two and they are much bigger than the outer two. There are also 6 chines?....
Yeah, I hope to be able to figure out how to cut the foam, there are some interesting angles....
I was going to use divinylcell H80 because that's what my local guy has.

That’s the plan.
Jacques had a slightly better drawing than yours but I am impressed by your iPhone skills.

Re: Radon Transom Replacement
Should have said by two I meant each side of keel. I've been given to understand that I’d you use a foam pad then the glass carries all the load from stringer to hull so you should double the glass just in the transitional area.
Re: Radon Transom Replacement
Ok, I’m second guessing myself. I think maybe I won’t do the foam trapezoids under the stringers. It costs money, it’s not necessary in a fiberglass hull, and it’s going to take a lot more glass and goo for tabbing.
Seems like just a gap and the regular epoxy putty would be less work and just as effective. And preferred mixtures for the bedding putty? Wood flour obviously, anything else? I’m getting a bunch of system3 EZfillet to give that a try.

EZ fillet gonna get spendy..
Get a 10# bag of fumed silica.
Mix it with epoxy about 2.1 to 1 by volume (more silica), mask always; it is a carcinogen and nasty

Fumed silica is the really light and airy stuff?
I was kind of surprised that the EZfillet isn’t that much more than a gallon of epoxy and the filler. It might be that I’m in California and shipping costs kill me since most stuff comes from the east coast.

You can use it or wood flour for putties. Wood flour is less toxic, but all fine dusts are not good for you..

Yep, I got one of those powered air filtering helmets. It’s really nice. Figured I’d be in it for way too long so I wanted to be comfortable.
Re: Radon Transom Replacement
I’m getting ready to start putting the stringer in this weekend so I just wanted to figure out the procedure, I have confused myself again about when glass goes on the tops and sides.
1)”paint” wood stringer with several coats of neat epoxy.
2) glass the sides of the stringer before it goes in the boat.
3) install stringer in boat, bed and fillet with putty.
4) tab stringer to hull
5) cap stringers with glass???
It’s the capping I’m unsure about. Is that separate from the side glass? Am I looking to line the cap glass up with the tabbing steps to make a smooth side? Like this or do I glass up and over the whole stringer before I put it in?
