fallguy he needs something more than that. This is a 23' boat that is going to weigh close to 1000lbs before the flip. I would say just get some 2x16 and then set them on some cinder blocks across the frames. Glue the boards to the blocks with wedges so they don't tip over. That will get get him up 2' at least.

But he has done a great job to date and may not mind bending over. But he does have have the hardest part ahead of him, fairing and sanding.

Can you just use glass seams? I hate butt blocks ever since I had a 1947 Chris Craft with rot on the back of a butt block.

I thought so as well, but didn't want to overspeak. Perhaps butt block is being used as a generic term is all.

The enthusiasm radiating from the pics is lovely. :D

Please explain to family and friends, and more importantly to yourself, that you're going to have to keep pugging on at this rate for three years or so before you're afloat.

Ilker has shown that you Turks can endure a long build and deliver a triumph. Wishing you all the best. :D

I would not put the beading type foams in the bilge my friend.

They take on ambient moisture and capture it and never release it.

Expanded polystyrene is really terrible in the bilge unless you bury it in better foams.

Love the pictures. Is that your Mom or Mom-in-Law?

Either way, good progress! Get rid of that recycled crap..or bury it in marine foam.

ps-you will find a bunch if indistry hype saying otherwise, but I have had to replace hot tub covers every ten years or so a few times now because the steam gets into the foam and it never dries

Reid did some experiments as well and the best way to make a dry bilge is epoxy encapsulation of foam..

I choose smaller propeller to my old engine. Full speed engine reaches 5000 5500 rpm. 20 km/hr.
At displacement speed 10 km /hr 2250 rpm. Consumption 0.3 lt per km or 3 lt per hour.

I choose smaller propeller to my old engine. Full speed engine reaches 5000 5500 rpm. 20 km/hr.
At displacement speed 10 km /hr 2250 rpm. Consumption 0.3 lt per km or 3 lt per hour.
I convert that to 7.8 mpg. Really great numbers on fuel economy if I did it right. I can't handle the liter or gallons per hour rate in my head.

Google says 78mpg

Go to google and then put in β€œ3l/100km to mpg”. It will bring up a conversion widget.

I'd love to hear from the designer on how this is possible to get 7.8

Yep. Good catch. The google widget only does /100km so it would the 30l/100km getting it back to the 7.8mpg.

My converter also says .3l/km = 7.84 mi/gal. So, fallguy don't doubt yourself. His rpm range of 5300 to 6300rpm's so if he can hit 5500 he is good. Murat great pics of the boat in the water and the 20kmh is a great top speed since you're not reaching full rpms.

Enjoy your boat. :D

Sure looks great. I see some ropes that are nearly horizontal in a couple of the outside pics. Are those ground ties back to shore?
