I think I'd keep that in my living room! Terrific.

What size motor are you putting on her, if a 30 or 40 I can help with the prop whether a 3 or 4 blade. Tom

Make sure you plan to have extra time at the dock. You are going to need it to answer all the questions you are going to get.

Eric I would be glad to help you get a 4-blade prop but will need a lot of information from you to run through my calculations. Let me know if you want to do so. I have done an FS18 with a 40HP, so it won't take long to do yours once I get your numbers.

Eric glad to do it for you her are what I will need from you basically loooking for the weight of the boat as it leaves the dock and what the watterline is. So first what is the design waterline.

Now what are the following:

1 Weight of boatWith or without motor let me know
2. Mercury motor year I will get all the specs I need from Mercury
3 gallons of fuel tank
4. Gallons of bait tanks if any
5. I will add 175 lbs for fittings, cables, fuel lines, battery and other hardware.
6. Need average people weight 2 @180 =360
7. Cooler, fishing gear, ice bait, etc. I normally add 100lbs for a small boat like this, not too big a cooler, not too much ice. Just fishing gear that doesn't add up to much.

1) i would guess the dry weight is 750-1000 lbs.
2) 2022 40hp inline 3 cyl
3) 12 gallon tank
4) no bait tank 0 lbs
5) agreed. i have two fairly heavy batteries and some big cables.
6) agreed. 360-400 lbs
7) agreed. 100 lbs. mostly cooler and limited gear.

Eric a 4-blade 10.75 x 12 should be very close to what you need for your set up. My other option would be a 10.5 x 12, the reason is the range in weight of your hull. Even 100lbs can make a difference in my prop calculations, for this first run I used the average of the weights you gave me. If you could narrow both the hull weight and person weight down, I could be more accurate. I would recommend a SCB-4 prop frm PTprops. It is a 10 3/8 and I would select a 12 pitch. If this is not the right prop PT will exchange it for a small fee as long as no dings with in 30 days.
