Regarding weight, I'd take the 3pt measurement approach over a bill-of-materials addition any day of the week. Law of cosines will keep any reasonably level ground down in the noise for your purposes. I'd take drop measurements from any hull reference to ground at a repeatable location so you make sure to put the boat in the same position when lifting each of the 3 corners.

I have separately posted my measured weight spreadsheet. Gear and passengers are the biggest variable. For this boat I'd likely pick the Merc 150, nice big displacement and easy maintenance. The Suzuki 140 is a nice lower-cost alternative. Mine doesn't really want to run much more than 30mph comfortably.

I am going to measure the weight using 3 points. I think it will be close.

Any suggestions for a scale to use. I have been looking for a compression load cell.

I need the weight to select a motor for the boat.

I made a load cell setup for my boat. It was pretty sketchy. The cells were bending on the mounts and the boat had to be level and was kinda leaning and moving.

Much easier to get a trailer under and take it to a commercial scale. Mine was a different story at 17’ wide.
