That is going to be one heck of a LM. If you know what motor I'll be glad to help you prop it. Done a couple of LM's. With the tunnel a 4-blade works well.

It's been a whirlwind of two months. Bought an HVLP gun. Getting that dialed in with side projects and small stuff with the boat
..then jumped on motor and boat.

Top finished and glassed on. Push pole flip up holders cut in. Burnewiin inserts cut in.

Insane fairing(beefed up transom-deck attachment with 5 diminishing circles of heavy cloth lapped up transom in response to many that said it cracked)

Hatches built and tested. Front hatch had to be engineered to take a significant amount of weight since it was so big. I can jump on it at 225lbs and it flexes a few millimeters. I'll be using a gas strut

Motor sanded/degreased/blasted/ primer/painted with cream-light camo green/ new decals

Boat got faired more and sanded

Epoxy primer down

Wet sanded

Touch up primer

Wet sanded

First base build coat of Camo green down. I'll wet sand the few runs I had. Was trying to spray near side under gunwhale in a praying mantis pose and got too close. I'll once over wet sand. Then gloss coat. Then work on accent cream color/tread spots.

Cut in everything on center console including wireless Kill switch and Dometic cooling cup holders. Faired it and primed it.

Going to finish paint this week and start rigging next week.

Wet sanding the individual rod holders under the gunwhale was a total caaaaaaaaaannnnnnt.

This is after I wet sanded it and touched up where I sanded to much primer. Had to lightly wet sand again after this

For anyone building skiffs out there that read this.....just spray it. I rolled the hull and am now going back and wet sanding it to include the sides in my "gloss coat". I can't say enough about this Quantum paint. It's harder than a penny on the Mohs scale. It's insanely easy to spray. It wet sands...it buffs...it can be fixed....and the finish is undeniable. Worth every dam penny unpaid for it. Customer service is top notch. I've got almost $30k wrapped up in this project. I e seen you guys put enormous effort into your boats.....dont skimp on paint!!!

Used the Shark Grip product from Sherwin Williams. Sprayed one layer of paint down and then used a harbor freight mini handheld sandblaster to spray the texture on nice and even. Then sprayed another few layers on. Turned out well above my expectations. Hatches and floor tomorrow!
