MI 12

Post by PapaDave »

I have been pondering a classic boat that is both beautiful and would work well for a novice high school age group build and I think the MI 12 will do it. I will do the first one on my own to see how to maximize time constraints and building tasks. First steps of CAD work and CNC cutting a kit are complete.

After assembling a Panga hull, this little gem effortlessly goes together. A few more hours and she will be all stitched up.

She is all stitched up and tacked in place with thickened epoxy. I ordered my glass and it will arrive next week from Jeff and Reed.

The ties were removed, edges primed with epoxy, and gaps filled with thickened epoxy. Exterior glass is next.

You're a beast, Dave! Great to hear your plans to get some HS kids involved, this is the kind of bug to spread!
There are only two seasons in Vermont: boating season, and boat-building season.
