I am starting to have an idea of how these are going to work from the lines drawn on the hull. But as interested as the others. Keep us posted as things progress.

Re: Bulbous bows
Well, today, I waxed and sprayed the mould with pva...
Trying to come up with a wetout plan that won't peel away the partall#10 too bad.
It will be 11 layers of glass..just trying to determine a layout; the composites guy threw in the towel
The blue line is the center of the BB...the knuckle..

Re: Bulbous bows
It has to be 7000gsm?
So, that is some combination of
600g biax
600g woven roving
200 gram cloth
I'm going to cut the pieces 22.5" x 27.5" at 141" long, so can just squeak out two pieces in each 141"!
The wr might be 60, so some waste..cloth same iirc.
Anyhow, no clue about wetting out roving.
The cloth, I might just fit in if the thing seems soupy. But a lot of roller work is going to mess with the partall...
And 8mm will heat up, so probably an all day affair to get it to cool some..fan will help.

Re: Bulbous bows
Today, I laminated 6 layers of glass into the mould. Not sure why, but the thing is drinking resin like a sailor does rum.
I'm kinda tired st 4:45pm...started at 9:30...
Two layers of cloth and two layers of 18oz biax Two more layers of woven roving 18 oz Cut almost all the rest...7 layers to go on this one
Gotta order more epoxy, after the change to all glass, I'm way short and trying to make Jeff some more money I guess.

Looks like you are making really good progress. But if memory serves me...You over work and more things on you have to be replaced or doctored. Hope you are relaxing...as best you can, waiting on more epoxy for a few days.
