Sand it out with a DA leaving a bit wider indention and fill that?

I think that is what I would do. I have not had any trouble with Quick Fair filling and sticking for stuff like that.

Thanks, it's what I did. Finished sanding today. I'll fair again tomorrow and see how it looks.

Wonderful finish ! I could only dream of reaching that level.
Built C17 (app.php/gallery/album/262), GF14, Devlin Bella 16. Sails a 30ft Biloup 89 sailboat.
