RB14 Plan Questions

Hello, hoping somebody can help me out. I have purchased the RB14 digital plans and I am working through them trying to fully understand before I embark on a winter boatbuilding project.

I'm struggling with station/frame C2 in a couple of respects:

1. I can't figure out what the purpose of this frame actually is... I know it's set 10 3/4" aft of the frame C but I'm not sure why it's there. It's not shown on any of the construction drawings. Is it specific to either the single or double cockpit version?

2. In the digital plans, the left side of the station appears to be drawn as a perfectly straight line whereas the right side appears to have some curvature. Why isn't it symmetric and if it is supposed to have some curvature what is the apex point for the camber?

I think I have figured out everything else from the plans and a little extra help from this thread on some additional apex points https://community.boatbuildercentral.co ... hp?t=59414 but C2 has me confused for some reason...
